A jury has been discharged at the trial of a man accused of murdering another man who was shot and stabbed in a Sydney underground car park.

Acting Justice Jane Mathews discharged the NSW Supreme Court jurors on Tuesday, day two of the trial, after a witness and a juror realised they were neighbours.

A new jury is expected to be empanelled on Wednesday at the trial of Diego Carbone, 26, who has pleaded not guilty to murdering Bradley Dillon, 25, at Leichhardt on August 11, 2014.
