Job cuts 'to hit NSW electricity workers'
AAP
More than 2700 jobs will be axed across NSW's publicly owned electricity network companies, industry unions say.
The job losses will begin from September, with employees at Essential Energy to be hardest hit with 1395 jobs to go.
Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy employees will also be affected in what has been described as "a massive economic blow for rural communities" by the Electrical Trades Union and United Services Union on Monday.
