Jerry can may hold clue to man's death

A jerry can could hold a vital clue about the shooting murder of a man in Sydney's southwest earlier this month.

Canley Vale man Hung Robert Tran, 24, was found dead on Jasmine Crescent, Cabramatta, about 10.45pm on July 2.

The jerry can was found in Mr Tran's burnt-out VW Golf GTI five days after the shooting and police hope to identify where the can was bought.
