Sydney worker freed after crane drops load

A worker has suffered leg injuries after being trapped under timber that fell from a crane at a construction site in Sydney's northwest.
Emergency crews were called to Rothesay Avenue at Ryde about 11am on Friday after reports a 30-year-old man had become trapped under a load from a crane, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman told AAP.
SafeWork NSW has been made aware of the incident.

The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital after suffering leg injuries but is in a stable condition, a Royal North Shore spokeswoman told AAP.
