Human remains found under NSW house

Human remains have been found under a house in Nambucca Heads on the NSW mid-north coast.

The remains were found on Tuesday afternoon under a house on Riverside Drive in Nambucca Heads - the main road beside the Nambucca River.

"The bones were preserved and are awaiting further examination by police," a NSW Police spokeswoman told AAP.

Workers were reportedly excavating the house when they discovered the remains and were in disbelief.

The house was sold on July 24, and excavation works had been underway for the past week to remove the house from the site, the Nambucca Guardian reported.
