UPDATE: Fire crews extinguish hot spots after blaze in NSW central-west

Fire crews have battled a house fire in Parkes in Central Western New South Wales. 

The single-storey home was well alight, initially preventing firefighters from entering the home.

There were fears that four people were inside the home, but it is now believed they are on holiday in South Australia.

Crews have extinguished the blaze but remain on site controlling hot spots.
