UPDATE: House gutted during blaze in Sydney's south

A house has been gutted by fire at Alfords Point, in Sydney's south.

Fire crews rushed to the house on Royal Oak Drive about 3.30pm after reports of smoke pouring from the home.

The two-storey home partially collapsed during the blaze and firefighters were initially forced to retreat as the roof gave way.

No one was injured during the fire.

There are multiple crews are still involved in the operation.
