Hot conditions spark total fire ban in New South Wales

Hot and windy conditions expected in NSW on Saturday have sparked a total fire ban for the north coast, the Hunter, Sydney, the northwest and upper central west plains.
The temperature is forecast to reach 34C in Sydney and the Hunter, with winds up to 50km/h.

Western parts of NSW are predicted to swelter in 39C heat, and Grafton on the north coast is tipped to reach 37C.
