Health spending in the NSW budget

HEALTH SPENDING IN 2017/18 PROMISED IN THE NSW BUDGET:

* $1.9 billion on mental health.

* About $1.7 billion to build and upgrade hospitals.

* More than $190 million to continue investment in regional hospitals.

* $35 million to upgrade or build ambulance stations in regional and rural areas.

* $17.4 million for palliative care.

* $9.8 million to recruit 55 specialist nurses/midwives, 10 mental health nurse educators and 30 clinical support officers.

* $10 million for oral health services.

* $7.5 million for 50 relief paramedics.

* $6.7 million to tackle alcohol and drug misuse.
