Hammer, machete used by NSW home invaders
AAP
Two people have been injured after a NSW home invasion led to a scuffle involving a machete, hammer and a sword.
Police say two women spoke to a 38-year-old woman at her Tamworth home in Tingira Street and followed her inside, before punching her in the head around 7pm on Friday.
The home's 44-year-old male resident, who had run to help when the woman called out, armed himself with a sword when he noticed the attackers had a hammer and a machete.
