Four rifles stolen from Sydney home

Four registered rifles have been stolen from a gun safe at a property in western Sydney.

Police are investigating the theft of a Longbranch No.4 .303 rifle, two Brno .22 rifles, a Diana .117 air rifle and ammunition in a burglary at a house in Leonay, near Penrith.

Police recovered one of the rifles in a nearby golf course but have made no arrests.

The theft happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
