Grandmother bashed in Sydney break-in
AAP
A grandmother has been assaulted after three men, one holding a gun, broke into a home in Sydney's southwest demanding money.
The 61-year-old woman was asleep in a Ralph Street house in Cabramatta early Monday morning along with her daughter and nine-year-old granddaughter, when the trio broke in, police said.
One of the men hit the grandmother in the face and she was later taken to hospital to be treated with bruising and swelling. The men fled a wallet, phone and jewellery.
