Girl raped at Sydney church: police

A young girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted by a man who befriended her at a south western Sydney church.
Police arrested a 66-year-old in Ashcroft on Wednesday after following up reports of an assault at a church ground on Sunday.
The man has been charged with sexual intercourse with a child under 10.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Thursday.
