Man charged over rap concert sex assault

A man has been charged over the indecent assault of a teenage girl at a Sydney rap concert.

The riot squad was called to the Enmore Theatre in Sydney's inner west at 7pm on Monday to control thousands of fans who had got out of control.

There were a number of assaults, including a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly indecently assaulted.

Police have charged a 24-year-old man over the assault of the teenager and he will face Newtown Local Court on Tuesday.

Around 2500 fans who had been at the sold-out concert for US rappers YG + Ty Dolla $ign had to be dispersed, police said.
