French flag to fly over Sydney
AAP
The red, white and blue French flag is flying on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Sunday, in a show of solidarity with the French people.
The famous "tricolore" represents the ideals of the French revolution - liberty, equality and fraternity.
It replaced the NSW flag at 11am, flying alongside the Australian flag, symbolising Australia's support for France after the terrorist attacks in Paris which killed 129 people and injured hundreds.
