AFP officers remove four people from Virgin Australia plane at Sydney Airport

Four people have been removed from a Virgin Australia plane this morning at Sydney airport.

Australian Federal Police officers escorted the passengers off the jet at the request of the airline.

An AFP spokesperson said they received a request for assistance from an airline in Sydney regarding passengers who failed to follow instructions from staff.

The spokesperson said the passengers were removed and spoken to by AFP.

It is unclear how the situation unfolded, however the spokesperson said inquiries were continuing.
