Six in hospital after car crash off cliff

Two people, including a 10-year-old girl, are in serious condition in hospital after their car crashed off a cliff on the NSW south coast.

Emergency services were called to Kings Highway at around 2.30pm after a car plunged off the cliff near Batemans Bay and rolled about five metres down an embankment, a NSW Ambulance spokesman told AAP.

Paramedics at the scene treated the car's five occupants and one "good Samaritan bystander" who stopped to help and was also injured.

The 10-year-old girl sustained head injuries and was airlifted to Canberra hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A woman in her mid-60s was also flown to Canberra in a serious but stable condition with chest, pelvis and abdominal injuries.

Four other people, including the bystander, have also been taken to hospital and are in stable conditions.
