Fiery northern NSW crash leaves two dead

Two drivers have died in a fiery crash between a B-double truck and a car on the NSW north coast.

The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on the Pacific Highway near Broadwater on Saturday afternoon when they collided head-on, police say.

Both vehicles and some nearby bushland caught fire during the crash, with both drivers killed at the scene.

Police say two other males were also injured after their ute crashed into the one of the vehicles during the accident.

The pair have been taken to hospital with minor injuries, and the driver is undergoing mandatory blood and urine tests.

The Pacific Highway is closed in both directions between Rileys Hill and Wyrallah Roads.
