Fears for NSW teen missing one week

A NSW teenager has been missing for nearly a week, police say.

A Facebook post shared by hundreds of friends and family suggests Hayley Tisdell, 16, had made plans to visit a friend in Lowood, in southeast Queensland, but never arrived.

Police say the teenager's mother last saw her on August 30 in her home town of Wingham, near Taree.

She was wearing blue jeans and a fluoro-coloured top at the time and her hair had recently been dyed red.

Her family has not heard from her and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
