Father and son charged after NSW raids

A father and son will appear in court after a Glock pistol, drugs and a NSW police uniform were allegedly discovered during raids in Sydney's inner west and south.

Detectives investigating a shooting in Croydon Park in March searched houses in Belfield and Miranda on Wednesday.

It's alleged officers discovered powder, a number of capsules and drug equipment at the Miranda address.

A Glock pistol and a loaded 9mm magazine, as well as a stolen NSW police force uniform and cannabis, was allegedly discovered at the Belfield house, police said.

A 51-year-old man was charged with drug and firearms offences, while his 26-year-old son was charged with drug and firearms offences and property theft.

Both men were refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on Thursday.

Police say they expect to make further arrests.
