Fatal crash in NSW southern tablelands

A man has died after his car smashed into a tree near Yass.
About 12.10am on Saturday emergency services were called following reports a Nissan Patrol utility had hit a tree.
The driver, a 36-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries and he died at the scene.
