Fake Sydney bomb threat prompts arrest

A man has been arrested after allegedly stopping his ute in the middle of a western Sydney road and telling police he had a bomb.
The incident occurred about 4.40am on Sunday on Windsor Road in Northmead. The man stopped his ute in traffic and then told attending officers he had an explosive device.
The 50-year-old surrendered to police by 9am and was arrested.

He is yet to be charged and police say they have not found any explosive devices at the scene.
