A former banking executive accused of receiving corrupt payments from an international IT company has pleaded not guilty to bribery.

Keith Hunter, 61, was an IT manager at the Commonwealth Bank when he and another banking executive allegedly granted a US-based IT company a lucrative contract without putting it to public tender. It is alleged the pair received kickbacks in return.

Hunter appeared in Central Local Court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of bribery.
