Emergency exercise to shut down Sydney CBD

There will be road closures in the Sydney CBD this morning for an emergency management exercise.
It will involve more than 500 personnel from groups including NSW police, ambulance and fire and rescue.
The multi-agency exercise will run from 9am to midday.

It is part of the Sydney CBD evacuation sub plan, which has been under review for the past 12 months.
About 300 volunteers from the Rural Fire Service, State Emergency Service and Surf Life Saving Australia will role-play workers being evacuated.
