Elderly Sydney pedestrian struck by car

A woman in her late 70s has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car on Sydney's north shore.
The 78-year-old suffered a head injury and fractures when she was struck at Killara about 3pm Tuesday and was taken to Royal North Short Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police have called for any witnesses to contact them.
