Drug charges for 11 at NSW snowfields

Eleven people will face court over the alleged supply of illicit drugs in the NSW snowfields.

Search warrants were executed in Jindabyne and Smiggins Holes on Tuesday and Wednesday where police seized drugs including cannabis, MDMA, cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, and methyl amphetamine, as well as $3000 in cash.

Eleven people were arrested and charged with 28 offences, mainly relating to the supply of illicit drugs.

Three men and a woman, aged in their 20s, were the most significant arrests made in the two-day operation, police said.

All four have been granted strict conditional bail and are due to face Cooma Local Court next month.

"(It's) disappointing that within the snowfields of NSW there remains a minority who continue to try to profit from the sale illegal drugs that can cause significant health issues and devastate local communities," Commander of Monaro Local Area Command, Superintendent Mark Murphy said on Thursday.
