Driver in fatal Sydney crash admits fault

A driver who ran down a Sydney grandmother as she crossed a road in the city's southwest has pleaded guilty to negligent driving.

Lidcombe man Minki Kim, 36, hit the 73-year-old pedestrian with his Toyota Hiace as she was crossing King Georges Road, at Wiley Park, on the evening of November 2.

The woman, named in media reports as Nilda Santiesteban, died later that night.

Kim fronted Burwood Local Court on Thursday to plead guilty to negligent driving occasioning death.

He did not enter a plea to a second charge of failing to give way to a pedestrian at traffic lights.

The case has been adjourned to February next year as police consider whether to lay additional charges.

Kim remains free on bail.
