Driver charged over NSW triple-fatality

A man has been charged with driving and drug offences following a car crash which left three people dead in the NSW Blue Mountains.

The 20-year-old driver and a front-seat passenger were taken to Westmead Hospital after a head-on collision at Bilpin in August while three other men - aged 19, 21 and 17 - died at the scene, police said.

Police on Tuesday charged the driver with three counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and driving with an illicit drug.

He will face Windsor Local Court in November 12.
