Pocket Pomeranian found safe after being snatched from café

A beloved pocket Pomeranian named Gizmo has been found after being stolen from a café in Sydney’s inner-west yesterday.

Police said the dog was found safe and well at a veterinary clinic in Bankstown at 3pm today, and has been reunited with his owners.

The development comes after Gizmo escaped from his Wareemba home about 2.30pm yesterday, and walked to the nearby Trovantino café.

CCTV was released of two men stealing Gizmo from the café, with one of the thieves appearing to laugh as the other carried the dog in his arms.

It is not yet known whether the men will face charges.
