Doctor bombarded ex with 6600 messages

A scorned Sydney doctor told a former lover she was going to ruin his life and bombarded his new partner during a sustained campaign of harassment.

Denise Jane Lee has pleaded guilty to four harassment-related offences and is awaiting sentencing in the Downing Centre Local Court.

Agreed facts tendered on Wednesday reveal the radiologist sent 6642 messages to Matthew Holberton and 127 emails to his new partner, the partner's mother as well as work colleagues and friends.

Mr Holberton broke off their relationship in October 2015 after four dates and told Lee: "Please don't text any more today."

Over the next 80 minutes she inundated him with 69 messages including "I'm going to f*** your life up" and "I wont be letting you get away with what you did to me. Leading me on .... you are going to regret it."

She also promised: "Whatever you value most, I will target."

Mr Holberton moved to Melbourne in 2016 and went public via social media with his new partner in June.

Lee sent a torrent of emails to Mr Holberton's new girlfriend, her mother and senior employees at the University of Melbourne and Monash University - where the girlfriend and her mother worked.

The messages came from a series of anonymous email accounts, one of which read: "how desperate is this ugly attention seeking slag?"

Lee's Rushcutters Bay home was raided in December 2017, during which police found emails and handwritten notes relating to Mr Holberton.
