Female diver dies at Tweed Heads

A female diver has died after being pulled unconscious from the water of a Tweed Heads beach in northern NSW.
The woman was pulled from surf at Duranbah Beach around 3.40pm, NSW Police said.
The 52-year-old had been scuba diving off Little Cove with her family.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate her but she died at the scene.
Tweed Byron detectives are now investigating the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
