Delivery man molests teen: NSW Police

A delivery man has been bailed after allegedly molesting a teenage girl while on the job on Sydney's upper north shore.

Dinakar Tayi, 44, was delivering a package to a home on December 4 when he went inside and indecently touched a 13-year-old girl, NSW Police said on Thursday.

The child abuse and sex crimes squad launched an investigation and arrested the man at a Wetherill Park home on Wednesday.

His social media account reveals he's an avid cricketer and doting family man.

Tayi was charged with intentionally sexually touching a child and the aggravated entering of a dwelling while knowing people were inside.

He was granted conditional bail at Fairfield Local Court and ordered to appear at Hornsby Local Court on February 7.

Tayi can't work as a delivery driver and must report daily to police among other conditions.

The name of his employer can't be reported for legal reasons.
