Death prompts NSW coastal rock warning
AAP
Authorities are urging people in NSW to stay away from coastal rock ledges as dangerous surf conditions continue.
The warning comes after a fisherman died off rocks south of Newcastle on Saturday while a large group were rescued from a platform at Sydney's Figure Eight Pools.
Hazardous surfs are set to batter the state's coastline all weekend and people must not take the warnings lightly, National Parks and Wildlife Service spokesman Kane Weeks said.
