Dating app used in Sydney robbery

A man who thought he was on his way to a blind date with a woman he met on a dating app has been robbed and assaulted in Sydney's east.

The 23-year-old believed he was meeting the woman at Wallis Parade in Bondi early on Sunday when he was chased by three men, one of whom assaulted him and stole his wallet, police say.

Three people were arrested following the incident, which police believe is linked to a dating app, with an 18-year-old man charged with robbery and due to appear at Waverley Local Court next month.
