Dangerous washing machines recalled
AAP
The NSW government has recalled Samsung washing machines which pose a serious fire risk, with more than 70,000 of the appliances still in Australian homes.
The machines have caused 206 incidents, including house fires, in Australian homes since 2010.
Fair Trading Minister Victor Dominello said while a voluntary recall has been in place on 144,000 potentially faulty machines since 2013, only 50 per cent of consumers have taken action.
