Dance-teacher pedophile's sentence delayed

The sentencing of Sydney dance teacher and confessed pedophile Grant Davies has been adjourned until May so psychiatric evidence may be gathered.

The 41-year-old was due to face sentencing proceedings on Friday after pleading guilty in September last year to 28 charges, including sexual intercourse with a child and using children to make pornography.

But Crown representatives told Sydney's District Court they were served psychiatric evidence late on Wednesday and needed time to gather medical evidence of their own.

Davies is due to face court again on May 27.
