A woman remains in a critical condition almost a fortnight after she was found shirtless and unconscious outside her caravan in NSW's central west.

Olivia Hailstone, 38, was bleeding with head injuries when she was found in late June outside the Cowra caravan where she lived with her partner.

A drag mark could help NSW Police determine if Ms Hailstone met with a tragic accident or something more sinister.

They say she could have been attacked in a nearby roadway, she may have sustained the head injuries in an accident or she might have been assaulted by someone she knew.

Ms Hailstone remains in a critical condition in Sydney's Westmead Hospital, a spokeswoman told AAP on Monday.
