Convicted killer Katherine Abdallah says her younger cousin was "inviting me to stab her" moments before she died.

Dressed in prison greens, Abdallah presented a different figure to the one she cut when she was crying hysterically at her court hearing last week.

The 33-year-old was defiant as she took the stand today to give the Supreme Court her version of what happened on February 9, 2013.

She said her 21-year-old cousin Suzie Sarkis attacked her at the Brighton-Le-Sands townhouse in Sydney's south they shared.

"I told her, 'get the f*** out'," Abdallah said.

Abdallah claimed her younger cousin threatened to kill her.

"She was inviting me to stab her. She said, 'Come on. Go on.'

"She said, 'What are you going to do, stab me?'," Abdallah told the court.

As the violence escalated, Abdallah said she told Suzie to "go".

Abdallah became aggravated when crown prosecutor Siobhan Herbert questioned her about cleaning the two knives she attacked Suzie with straight after the killing.

"During the Triple-zero call, you washed those knives," Ms Herbert said.

"Thoroughly clean," Abdallah interjected, "Is that right? There, I said it for you".

The interchange sparked Justice Christine Adamson to say: "Ms Abdallah, this is not a debate in the pub. This is a court room."

During the course of the trial, the jury were shown the footage from inside the home, which captured Ms Sarkis's final moments.

She is seen picking up a large glass vase and smashing it on the floor before kicking and hitting Abdallah.

The 33-year-old Abdallah fights back, hitting her with a pack of four drink cans before running into the kitchen, arming herself with two knives and striking out at her cousin.

Ms Sarkis is seen grabbing her chest and walking a few steps before collapsing.

The sentence hearing continues.
