Cops hunt last of alleged NSW killer trio

Police are hunting the last of three people allegedly involved in a violent home invasion and murder of a 60-year-old man in the NSW Hunter region.

A 24-year-old man remains on the run more than a week after the murder of the man in his Lake Macquarie home.

Police on Christmas day charged a 23-year-old man with murder over the attack.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with the same offence last week.

The trio are alleged to have broken into the Whitebridge home on December 17, armed with baseball bats and knives and attacked the victim who died a short time later in hospital.
