Men allegedly used drone to try and drop drugs and phone into prison
Two men have been charged after allegedly trying to use a drone to deliver drugs and other banned items into a correctional facility in rural NSW.
About 1.10pm on Friday police were told a drone had been spotted above Cooma Correctional Centre.

It’s a minimum and medium security facility an hour south of Canberra.
They found two men aged 31 and 38 in a nearby park on Barrack Street.
They found a drone box and controller, mobile phones, and SIM cards on the men and in a nearby car.
They later allegedly found a drone with an attached package in a nearby creek.
Police allegedly found and seized tobacco, illegal drugs, a mobile phone, and other items inside.
The items were seized for forensic examination.
The pair were arrested and charged with operate remotely piloted aircraft within prohibited airspace, unlawfully deliver or attempt to deliver anything to inmate, and supply cannabis over indictable and less than commercial quantity.
They were both refused bail to appear in court today.
