Child porn charges laid against NSW men

Two middle-aged men allegedly caught with child porn have been charged by northern NSW police.

A 58-year-old was arrested on a suburban Coffs Harbour street on Wednesday afternoon and charged with several offences, including possessing child abuse material.

"Investigators will allege they located child abuse material on a computer," police said.

He's been granted bail and is due before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday.

Another man, 40, was allegedly caught with child porn at a motel in Mullaway, about 30 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour.

"Police examined his computer and storage devices allegedly locating child abuse material," police said.

He's facing charges of possessing child abuse material among other offences.

He will stay in custody until July 21, when he's due before Coffs Harbour Local Court, after being denied bail.

"Investigators have seized several computers and continue with their investigations into both matters," police said.
