Charges in Sydney post office axe attack

A man who allegedly robbed a Sydney post office armed with an axe is due in court.
The alleged attack occurred on Friday at Chester Hill when a man threatened staff with an axe and escaped with cash in a taxi, police say.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at Yagoona on Sunday afternoon and charged with armed robbery with an offensive weapon, and refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Monday.
