A car has plunged over a cliff at Clovelly, in Sydney’s east, falling 30m onto rocks below.

Emergency services were called around 7:30am (AEDT) today after reports the car had driven over the cliff.

The male driver was found near the upturned vehicle and is being treated by paramedics at the scene. 

It is believed the car may have been at the bottom of the cliff since last night.

The man was winched from the rocks and taken by helicopter to Royal North Shore Hospital.
