Car bursts into flames on Sydney street

Two Canadian tourists experienced a Christmas Day shock after their car burst into flames as they drove through Balgowlah, in Sydney’s north today.

The pair noticed the smoke pouring from the bonnet of their car and pulled over in Algona Street – only for the car to suddenly explode.

Neighbour Rod Duckworth spotted the blaze and ran out to film it about 12.40pm.
