Cabbies march on NSW parliament

Hundreds of taxi drivers have marched on NSW Parliament to call for an end to ride-sharing services like UberX.

What began as a small number of cabbies holding placards on Thursday morning swelled to a massive crowd by midday, with traffic on Macquarie Street reduced to a crawl.

Passing cabs honked their support and there were threats from rally speakers to boycott Sydney's airport.
