Yass Valley fire downgaded

The warning for a grassfire burning out of control near the ACT border has been downgraded to Watch and Act.

Waterbombing aircraft are assisting firefighters batting the east-moving blaze at Mulligans Flat Rd in Sutton.

The NSW Rural Fire Service is advising people to seek shelter and protect themselves from the heat if their property is affected.

Exhibition Park in Canberra is open to people moving horses.
