Boy dies after Sydney pool incident

A three-year-old boy has died in hospital after he collapsed after swimming in a backyard pool in Sydney's southwest.

Emergency services were called to a home in Riverwood on Sunday evening to find the boy unconscious.

He was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.

NSW Police believe the three-year-old had been swimming before he got out of the pool and collapsed.
