Bikie gang dismantled in Sydney: police

The Sydney chapter of the Satudarah outlaw bikie gang has been dismantled and four members charged, police say.

After a year-long investigation the Gang Squad shut down the Satudarah's Bankstown clubhouse in November while the gang allegedly tried to establish a new chapter in NSW.

Four men were arrested last week and charged with offences ranging from drug supply, assault and hindering police, police said on Monday.

A 30-year-old man, alleged to be the Sydney chapter president, was charged with using an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and publishing false and misleading material to obtain property.

He was also charged with assault and malicious damage after an incident in November, when police allege he knifed another man at Menai in Sydney's south.

He was refused bail and is set to face Bankstown Local Court for the assault charge and Parramatta Local Court for other charges - with both matters being heard next month.

Three other men, aged 22, 29 and 31, have also been charged and will face Sydney courts.
