Sydney man killed in forklift accident

A man has been killed in a workplace accident in the southern Sydney suburb of Banksmeadow.

The 35-year-old was killed when a truck reversed into a forklift inside a business about 2pm this afternoon.

The man died at the scene, NSW Ambulance Acting Superintendent Steve Vaughan told nine.com.au.

"It was confronting for all those involved," he said.

"There was nothing (paramedics) were able to do."

A NSW Ambulance chaplain was brought in to offer comfort and support to others at the business.

The accident will now be subject to a Workcover investigation.
