Baird's campaign bus vandalised

Mike Baird's bid to woo voters in the Blue Mountains is off to a rocky start after his campaign bus was vandalised overnight.

Graffiti vandals spray painted a "not welcome" message on Mr Baird's shiny blue bus as it was parked outside The Carrington Hotel in Katoomba.

The culprits even left a cheeky scribble depicting male genitalia.

Hotel staff diligently washed off the offending tags by the morning while Mr Baird joked about the incident at a campaign breakfast hosted by MP Roza Sage.

"Apparently there's been a bit of art on my bus this morning," he said to laughter from guests on Wednesday.

"It is the city of the arts (but) I'm not quite sure I like those arts."

The premier again spoke about the graffiti after pledging $4 million to bring major tourism events to the Blue Mountains.

"We're very happy to see art but sometimes we're not as happy to see art," he joked.

"But in any campaign you'll see people express themselves in all types of ways and we welcome it."

Mr Baird is campaigning in the traditional bellwether seat of Blue Mountains, which is held by the Liberals on 5.4 per cent.
